Project Clearance
• There are no "set clearance standards"
for a microbial remediation project
• Clearance criteria must be pre-defined
for every remediation project
• Concurrent outdoor air and non-affected
area air samples are typically used as a
reference standard
Project Clearance
• Upon successful completion of the
remediation work, indoor air samples in
the work area should have similar rank
orders and magnitude with concurrent
outdoor air samples
• Environmental surfaces should be clean
and free from any active fungal growth,
or significant microbial deposition
